Research and Education Sessions for GP's and Allied Health
Research is essential to the understanding of our world. At SPARC our practitioners have been involved in areas of research such as hamstring muscle injuries, groin and hip injuries, and Achilles tendon injuries – all of which are commonly seen injuries in our active community.
For example, Dr Geoffrey Verrall has multiple publications in hip and groin Injuries, hamstring injuries and recently with the University of Adelaide Physics Department on the mechanisms that occur in musculoskeletal injuries. While Dr Duncan Walker has just concluded a hip range of motion study for groin injuries on an elite Australian football population.
We remain committed to research, but importantly also apply this to our patients in a practical manner that improves outcomes. While it is important to our specialists to keep current on the latest research for the best management of your concern, we also believe strongly in sharing and helping update the wider community.
As part of our passion for teaching and sharing current knowledge, starting in 2018 we have CPD points accredited for our regular teaching lecture series which are freely available to other GP's and medical practitioners, as well as allied health outside of those working at SPARC.
Sessions will cover topics such as latest osteoarthritis management updates, the active female, concussion and many more.
If you are a GP or allied health practitioner interested in attending please contact info@sparc.com.au or verrall@sparc.com.au and we will happily send you the complete lecture series and dates available.
