Exercise is medicine for both your body and brain
Have you had trouble in the past with your fitness levels, you feel low in energy, or need to lose weight and not sure what exercise is safe and effective?
Here at SPARC, we offer rehabilitation classes to help those people who have had a heart event, need help with their back pain, osteoarthritis, or have recently undergone surgery and need to get their fitness and function back.
What does gym rehabilitation mean?
A rehabilitation class is designed specifically for people dealing with the same sorts of issues you are, whether cardiac, diabetes or recovering from surgery. The programs are designed to improve your function and increase activity tolerance in a safe, structured and supervised environment.
How can we help?
Research has demonstrated strongly that the vast majority of modern chronic diseases, from high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiac issues, arthritis, to cancer prevention is greatly influence by our fitness levels. Improving your fitness and health goes a long way to reducing the risk of further issues and prevention. Regular and structured exercise programming with a specific focus on cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength will improve your quality of life, make your everyday activities easier to complete and reduce stress associated with social outings and safe exercising.
What do we offer?
We offer exercise physiology services that can be 1 on 1 or in a group setting. You can complete your exercises at home, at a pool, or in our brand new, state of the art gym.
We will talk extensively about your medical history and personal goals that matter to you, and then devise a plan that best suits you.
If you haven’t been in a gym before, haven’t completed any structured exercise previously and are a little apprehensive about the process, our highly qualified allied health professionals will be there to guide you every step of the way.
